OUR FUNNY FOOD TRAIN STORY - CHENNAI TO SURAT

Hello everyone, hope you all are doing good, I want to share a small funny story which happened during our college times, we were going for a convention which was happening in Surat, Gujarat. We were around 15 students who were both seniors and juniors accompanied by one staff.

We all boarded the train in Chennai central, we dint get a direct train to Surat since we booked in the last minute, so the plan was to go to Mumbai and from there get a train to Surat. It was Day 1 in the train, we all had a lot of laughter, played songs in speakers and played all crazy games, we were the entertainment for the whole compartment, we all shared the foods we brought from home. We all shouted Samosa-e, Coffee, Tea, and prank people in our compartments, and the IRCTC food guy also became our friend. It was 8 pm in the night and it was time for dinner and all were so hungry, but people wanted to eat food from a big station, but it was too late and we had to order food in the train itself, so we had no other option we ordered food for everyone. We all started playing cards again and meantime we all were very hungry, every time the food guy passes by we all stared at the food he had. Finally, the food guy came with a huge tray with our food, Everyone was very happy seeing it. We all threw the cards aside and was ready to eat. He told something to my friend Shubam in Hindi and he left. Within seconds we all jumped in, we din care whose food was what, we all opened all the parcels and we all fought, shouted and in 2 mins the full tray was done, the whole compartment was laughing at us. We weren't full, Alloysius asked us " Macha who ordered rice"? because we all ordered Roti but the parcel was Veg and Egg Biryanis. While we were In the confusion, the food guy came and he was shocked seeing all the parcels opened and left out with anything. He started shouting at us in Hindi, but no one understood. He actually asked Shubam what did he say before leaving? Shubam said he wasn't able to hear him in the train sound. The food guy has told Shubam that this is someone else's food and it is too heavy to carry, so I'll rest it here for some time, take care of it until I come back using the washroom. We all started laughing so badly and finally, we had to pay him extra because there were extra parcels and the cost of the rice is more. We paid him the amount and laughed at ourselves. Moral: There's a saying in Cambodian proverb "People give, but don't be in a hurry to take" :P
